VP Partnerships & Strategy, AI Student Collective
At AISC, I lead strategy, partnerships, and operations for a fast-growing student organization focused on democratizing access to AI education and hands-on innovation.
My role sits at the intersection of leadership, systems design, and storytelling — building the infrastructure that allows creativity and technical talent to scale. I oversee cross-functional teams spanning marketing, engineering, partnerships, and events, translating big-picture vision into executable plans. From launching our flagship hackathon to building sponsor pipelines and internal workflows, my work centers on creating clarity, momentum, and sustainable growth. I focus heavily on structure: turning ideas into roadmaps, people into aligned teams, and initiatives into measurable outcomes.
Case Study: Scaling AISC From a Student Club to a Startup-Style Organization
The Challenge:
AISC was growing rapidly, but like many student orgs, we lacked centralized systems: planning lived in scattered documents, sponsorship outreach was manual, branding was inconsistent, and roles weren’t clearly defined. Communication across teams and with members was fragmented, making it harder to maintain momentum and alignment as initiatives expanded.
My Approach:
I treated AISC like an early-stage startup and rebuilt its operational foundation from the ground up. Here’s what I implemented:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Built a Notion Gantt chart to map timelines across marketing, engineering, partnerships, and events
Created weekly milestones and ownership structures so every team knew exactly what they were responsible for
Introduced clear internal workflows for project updates, accountability, and cross-team alignment
Brand & Digital Presence:
Initiated and guided a full website revamp to reflect AISC’s mission, projects, and credibility
Helped define consistent visual identity and messaging
Built hackathon branding from scratch — aligning design, copy, and narrative into one cohesive story
Team Structure:
Defined functional verticals (Marketing, Engineering, Partnerships, Events)
Clarified leadership roles and responsibilities to reduce bottlenecks and increase autonomy
Established repeatable processes for onboarding and collaboration
Weekly Newsletter & Community Engagement
Launched and managed a weekly newsletter to centralize communication with members and stakeholders
Used it to share updates on projects, events, opportunities, and learning resources
Strengthened community engagement while reinforcing AISC’s brand voice and strategic direction with a consistent touchpoint
Sponsorship CRM & Pipeline:
Designed a Notion-based CRM to manage sponsor outreach and tracking:
Lead status
Contact history
Pitch stages
Follow-up
Turned outreach into a structured pipeline, enabling professional external partnerships
Flagship Hackathon Launch
Developed end-to-end branding and operational planning for our two-day AI hackathon
Raised ~$9K in sponsorships
Coordinated logistics, sponsor integration, participant experience, and marketing timelines through centralized systems
Managed event operations, including venue, catering, and committee task assignments
The Impact:
Transformed AISC from a loosely organized club into a systems-driven organization
Improved execution speed, internal clarity, member engagement, and sponsor professionalism
Created infrastructure that future leaders can inherit and scale
Enabled the team to focus on innovation instead of logistics
Most importantly, I helped shift AISC from reactive to strategic — building operational tools, communication channels, and brand systems that support long-term growth, not just short-term events.
